I’m Debra — a yoga teacher and Certified Emotion Code® Practitioner offering grounded, practical support for both body and mind. My work is simple, clear, and no‑fluff. Whether we’re working through movement or emotional pattern clearing, my goal is to help you feel steadier, lighter, and more at home in yourself.
People describe me as compassionate, thoughtful, observant, and someone who listens without judgment. I show up with sincerity, focus, and a genuine desire to help people improve their well‑being — and I do it in a way that’s human, approachable, and grounded.
I didn’t plan on teaching yoga. I started training for my own knowledge, and once I finished, I decided to complete the mandatory 15 practice‑teaching hours just to earn the certificate. Somewhere in those hours — probably between losing count, mixing up left and right, cracking jokes, and letting an evil laugh slip during a difficult pose — I realized I actually loved teaching.
My teaching style is structured but adaptable. I come in with a detailed plan, but I’m ready to toss it aside if the room reads differently. I don’t believe in “perfect poses.” I believe in poses that work for your body today. I use props, clear instruction, and explicit consent for any hands‑on adjustments. Sessions blend strength, mobility, and rest depending on what the group or individual needs.
I found Emotion Code® through curiosity and practicality. After noticing a pattern in my own stress and physical tension, I tried a session, saw meaningful shifts, and kept going. That led me to certification training in Salt Lake City, where I completed live instruction with Dr. Bradley Nelson and Jean Nelson.
Emotion Code® is simple, focused, and surprisingly effective. It’s a method for identifying and releasing emotional patterns that may be affecting how you feel or respond to life. I offer it in a grounded, non‑woo, non‑theatrical way — just clear, intentional work that helps people feel lighter and more balanced.
I hold a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of West Georgia and have worked in customer service, management, personal training, real estate, and now as a Grant Specialist with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council of Georgia. My work supports victim assistance agencies focused on child abuse and human trafficking.
Across all roles, the through‑line is the same: clear communication, adaptability, and creating safe environments. I bring those skills into both yoga and Emotion Code® sessions.
I work from home, live alone, and enjoy the freedom that comes with independence. Life has thrown more at me than most people know, but I’m still here, still smiling, still choosing joy. Nature is my reset button — hiking, camping, exploring, and taking the long way just because getting there is half the fun.
I love books, tea, quiet moments, and anything that brings clarity. I’m observant, detail‑oriented, and I notice what others often overlook. I’m human — I lose count, mix up directions, and say stupid things sometimes. It’s part of the charm.
And then there’s Louise — my dog child, sidekick, and occasional gremlin. She’s sweet, smart, skittish, and turns feral the moment water is involved. She jumps first and asks questions later. She’s stick‑aggressive, spoiled, and has me well‑trained. She also chose her own trick vocabulary: “Tell Me” instead of “Speak,” and “Let” instead of “Thank You.” I just live here.
She’s the first dog I’ve had entirely on my own, and she fills a void I didn’t know how to describe until she arrived. She gives me hope, keeps me grounded, and reminds me that dogs only see the world we show them — so I show her as much beauty as possible.
So we haven't perfected selfies yet.
I work differently depending on the modality.
I tend to work with adults over 35, but anyone is welcome. Whether you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, or rebuilding strength and mobility, I meet you where you are. I show up prepared, but I adjust quickly if your body needs something different that day.
Emotion Code® is available to any human or animal. I primarily work with adults and dogs, and sessions are simple, focused, and grounded. The goal is to identify and release emotional patterns that may be affecting how you feel or respond to life.
You can work with me in two ways:
Yoga — movement, breath, grounding
Emotion Code® — emotional pattern clearing
Both are offered with clarity, intention, and zero fluff.
